Meghan Heimbecker is a professional actress, director and teaching artist living and working in the Philadelphia area.    

A conservatory trained and Barrymore nominated actress, Meghan has toured the country with productions out of New York and has played leading roles in some of Philadelphia's top theatres.

October/November 2008

Meghan will be doing InterAct Theatre Company's first show of their 2008-2009 season in Philadelphia this fall.  The War Party is an east coast premiere - about politics, power, friendship and independent women.  For more information, visit:

September 2008

The Boy Who Cried Bully will be mounted again as part of the Walnut Street Theatre's Outreach Touring Theatre Program.  Meghan will be directing a new group of actors for this tour which will run throughout the school year.  Call 215-574-3550  x584  to book a show for your school or community group.

August 2008

Dorothy!!  No, it's not The Wizard of Oz (that was in 8th grade), but Meghan is headed to Kansas this summer to perform in the all women's musical, Quilters.  The Great Plains Theatre's website is:

Meghan will be performing Shakespeare in the Park with Theatre Horizon.  Bring your blankets, chairs, snacks and drinks while you enjoy some of Shakespeare's most funny, dramatic, loving and bawdy scenes and monologues.  Tuesday, July 22nd in Ambler, PA and Saturday, July 26th in Bryn Mawr, PA. May/June 2008

Meghan is working as the dialect coach for The Theatre of the Seventh Sister's upcoming production, Seed of a Nation.  This show is about the founding of Lancaster, PA.  Dialects included are: German, PA German, British, Cockney, Irish, French, Yiddish, West Indian, West African, Native American and Scots-Irish.  www.seventhsister.com

April/May 2008

Come to The Montgomery Theater to see William Inge's drama titled Picnic from April 18 - May 10, 2008.  Meghan will be playing the role of Madge Owens, known most notably by Kim Novak's performance in the 1955 film version.  For further information on the production and tickets, visit www.montgomerytheater.org

March 2008

February 2008

The national UPTA conference was held in Memphis, TN from Feruary 8 - 11.  Meghan traveled there to audition, see some shows and meet lots of great theatre people.  A wonderful weekend!
